1/15

Pershore Dance Festival is a stage dance competition for entrants aged between 3 & 21 years. We offer sections in Ballet, Tap, Modern, National, Greek, Character, Lyrical, Song & Dance, Contemporary, Commercial and Own Choreography.

Each section is divided into age groups and there are also opportunities to dance in duets, trios, quartets or groups.

This year we have introduced a Commercial section for our up and coming dancers, alongside our popular Own Choreography, Choreography for Others, & Choreography Partnership (new for 2017) sections to help dancers and budding choreographers prepare for their future in the industry.

Due to our growth in 2017 we have introduced a NEW Bursary Award for 2018, we will be awarding Junior, Intermediate and Senior Winner and Runner-up bursaries. Details can be found in the PDFA’s 2018 Syllabus.

As always, all competitors will receive a Certificate of Recognition for their participation in the Festival, but in 2018 we will also be presenting all Bursary and Championships competitors with a certificate and a medal as recognition of their achievement for either being chosen to re-dance in the Bursary Awards or for achieving the required standard for the Championships.

We strive to continue the ethos embedded behind Pershore Dance Festival of being a friendly, safe, and caring competitive environment, prepared to encourage and support future generations of performers; which is what we believe helps us to continue to grow in our popularity. We believe our Festival helps to build individuals self-confidence to perform as a soloist or as part of a team in front of a live audience, whilst developing essential skills such as spatial awareness, rhythm and an appreciation of music.
